Role:
The Senior Planner (eCommerce) will articulate consumer insights to drive digital demand generation communications strategies and programs related to eCommerce for local sales units. They will focus on operationalizing global campaigns and programs into a local neighborhood plan, reflective of local market trends, culture and eCommerce interaction. They will be supported by the account management and creative teams in the local market. The Senior Planner (eCommerce) is a digital specialist familiar with all existing and emerging digital channels.
Responsibilities:
- Speaks for the local market consumer in digital demand generation communications programs.
- Ensures local consumer relevance of the brand communication strategy.
- Pick up the global eCommerce campaign guidance and makes it completely relevant for the local market
- Interprets and monitors local cultural and social trends relevant to the eCommerce business.
- Conducts research that will aid in the localized consumer insight gathering and strategic planning process.
- Use various digital data measurement, tracking and optimization tools to develop insights for incorporation into Creative briefings and localized culture roadmaps.
- Develop precise recommendations across the neighborhood mix, to drive local online sales
- Crafts creative briefs and provides clear persuasive briefings to Creatives.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- A digital native with knowledge of all existing and emerging digital channels.
- Experience developing brand and creative strategies for eCommerce demand generation communications.
- Comprehensive understanding of eCommerce, online strategy, marketing, media concepts and branding.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of measurement and tracking tools within all digital channels, and incorporating results of these tools into Creative briefs and local cultural roadmaps.
- Experience with global businesses, preferably in the telecom and technology fields.
- Strong client facing skills.
- Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Successful track record managing multiple client assignments.
- Strong knowledge of primary and secondary research methodology, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A/BS degree required; advanced degree a plus
- Agency or internet professional services experience OR experience working for an eCommerce site in a marketing or strategy role
- 3+ years of over-all experience; one to two years interactive experience at a minimum
- Experience with direct marketing, relationship marketing and CRM within an integrated marketing perspective preferred.
